EVERYTHING YOU NEED TO KNOW ABOUT THCV

Although THCV sounds similar to THC, it has the opposite effect. While THC (tetrahydrocannabinol) has intoxication, sleep, and hunger-inducing properties, THCV (tetrahydrocannabivarin) suppresses appetite, which may help with weight reduction and energy levels.

THCV is a cannabinoid present in cannabis, hemp, and other plants, although it naturally occurs in such tiny amounts that it was practically mythological until recently.

Cannabis strains rich in THCV were discovered in equatorial Africa, where they were utilized as stimulants and to save people from starving. European strain seekers scouring the war-torn Democratic Republic of Congo for this happy sativas came up empty-handed. with at least one losing his life to the endeavor.

Cannabis patients and aficionados may now benefit from THCV without having to leave their nation, state, or even their homes, thanks to improvements in breeding and technology.

“It's a really exciting moment for THCV,” said Jared Dalgamouni, CEO of Rare Cannabinoid Company, which was the first and still the only company to provide a pure THCV oil tincture.

“People may now experiment with THCV and other cannabinoids to develop their unique mixtures based on their own needs,” he added.

What is THCV?

A cannabinoid is THCV. This implies it interacts with the human endocannabinoid system in the same way as CBD and THC do (ECS). Our ECS influences how we perceive stress and anxiety, how we sleep, eat, and even our hormone levels, helping to manage our physical and emotional well-being.

How does THCV work?

THC, the psychoactive component of cannabis, activates the CB1 receptor in our bodies. Hunger hormones are released as a result of this. THCV, on the other hand, inhibits hunger by turning off our CB1 receptor.

Does THCV get you high?

Only a significant quantity of THCV can make you psychoactive on its own. If you smoke cannabis flower that is high in THCV, however, it will also contain THC, which will make you high.

What does THCV feel like?

A standard dose of THCV should provide a clear-headed, energetic sensation similar to coffee, but without the jitters or stomach problems. People also claim to be less hungry and to have forgotten to eat. As a result, THCV is not advised for people who suffer from anorexia or other eating disorders. Combining THCV and CBD may provide a combination of clarity and calm relaxation, as well as hunger relief.

Meanwhile, mixing THCV with THC produces a high that is clear-headed, joyful, and active. The THCV may help to alleviate some of the appetites that come with THC use. but its appetite-suppressing effects will not be as effective as when THCV is taken alone or with CBD. (Scroll down to see a scientific study on this.)

How to take THCV

If you want to test if THCV can assist with hunger management, try a pure THCV oil or a THCV: CBD mix. Mixing THCV with THC or hemp-derived delta-8-THC, on the other hand, might provide an energetic high.

What is THCV good for?

THCV is well recognized for its ability to reduce hunger, which may aid in weight loss. (For more information and links to scientific research, scroll below.)

How does THCV work for weight loss?

Turning off the CB1 receptor, which THCV does, has been found to inhibit a variety of food-related behaviors in studies. Rimonabant, a pharmacological anti-obesity diet medication that works by turning off the CB1 receptor, has shown a lot of success in terms of weight loss. Rimonabant, on the other hand, produced severe depression and was therefore stopped.

Fortunately, this research focused on THCV, which discovered that not only can it decrease hunger by shutting off the CB1 receptor, but it also has a lower chance of triggering depression or other unpleasant side effects. As a result, THCV looks to offer a lot of therapeutic promise for those who want to lose weight.

According to a second study, THCV changes the connections between brain regions, allowing people to have more control over their food intake.

Meanwhile, one study discovered that mixing THC with THCV eliminated THCV's appetite-suppressing properties. Fortunately, the CBD countered the THC, allowing the THCV to reduce appetite. As a result, it appears that if you're trying to lose weight, you should either take THCV alone or in combination with CBD. A THCV: CBD combination may be the best solution if you use THC daily.
